Coco Marchand

Coco Marchand fue contratada como asistente personal de Eldritch Palmer poco después de que su jefe de seguridad (Y por mucho tiempo escolta) Reggie Fitzwilliam dejara a Palmer, encontrando este un reemplazo con Coco, tanto laboral como personal, siendo este último el motivo principal de su contratación.

Ella nunca supo muy bien qué estaba haciendo Palmer, pero su gran interés por tener una relación ‘personal’ con él le acabó costando su propia vida: Quiso dejar a Eldritch por su relación con Eichorst, pero Palmer consiguió convencerla para regresar como su asistente personal.

Coco es golpeada por una bala de Eph que iba destinada a Eldritch, pero es tratada por los médicos privados de Palmer, los cuales consiguen salvarla pero ella podría quedar en un estado que posiblemente conlleve daño cerebral.

Para que Coco se Recupere, Palmer obliga Eichhorst a que le pida a su Amo que ‘Cure’ a Coco con su Fluido, la Gran esencia, algo que El Amo Cumple y Coco despierta de inmediato, encontrándose a Bolivar sobre ella y creyendo que estaba alucinando. Cuando Palmer cuenta lo sucedido, toda su vida cambia radicalmente.

Bajo la influencia de Coco, Palmer rescinde su apoyo financiero para Eichhorst, lo que le impide adquirir el Libro Occido Lumen. Eichhorst llega a la Sede de StoneHeart para anunciar que su traición tendrá consecuencias..

El Amo aparece Momentos Después y procede a Alimentarse de Coco y, por lo tanto, la entrega de la «Inmortalidad» y la Infecta, lo que afecta a Palmer de una manera retorcida. En vez de dejar a Coco unirse a los Strigoi, Palmer la mata y expulsa su Corazón con Guantes, para protegerse de la infección (Como Setrakian hizo una vez con su esposa).

La Muerte de Coco probable es la primera vez que llevó a Palmer a experimentar la Pérdida de un ser querido de una manera inusualmente trágica. Palmer mantuvo el Corazón de Coco en un Estante de su despacho, al lado del Corazón de la Esposa de Setrakian. El amor y estos sentimientos son algo que sólo los Humanos entienden.

Coco Marchand was hired as a personal assistant to Eldritch Palmer shortly after his head of security and long time bodyguard Reggie Fitzwilliam quit, perhaps as a replacement. She is not in the novels.

The way she feels about Palmer isn’t exactly clear; she’s either covertly manipulating Palmer to give into his humanity, she’s «playing» his Florence Nightingale, actually is falling for him or has no idea what is going on, even herself.

Coco decides to leave Eldritch for being left in the dark about too many things, particularly Eldritch’s involvement with the strigoi. Palmer is able to appologize and she seems to give him a second chance since she believes his explanation that he has never experienced love while wheelchair-bound.

Coco is hit by the bullet meant for Eldritch but is treated by the doctors who save her but she is left in a possibly brain-damaged state. Palmer forces Eichhorst to pass the message to master that he will stop everything they have been working for unless Coco is saved and restored.

The master complies and saves Coco who wakes up immediately and she witnesses him in the body of Gabriel Bolivar leaving with superhuman celerity that no other being has been capable of.

Under Coco’s influence, Palmer rescinds his financial backing so Eichhorst could not acquire the Occido Lumen. Eichhorst arrives Stoneheart headquarter’s to announce that his betrayal will have consequences. The Master appears moments later and a presumptuous and fiesty Palmer high-stakes gamble seems to pay off when the Master assures him that the details of the arrangement have not been changed, but then proceeds to feed on Coco and thus delivering «immortality» and the «white» to Palmer in a twisted way. Instead of letting Coco turn into a strigoi, Palmer kills her and removes her heart wearing gloves, to protect himself from infection like Setrakian once did with his wife. Coco’s death is likely the first time Palmer had to experience the loss of a loved one in an unusually tragic way and the effects of this on his collaboration with the Master and Eichhorst have yet to be shown.
